Adoption Updates

The Humane Society of Angelina County has taken in 121 dogs and puppies.  We have adopted out 117 of those homeless pets.  The Humane Society has taken in 117 cats and kittens and adopted out 57.  These numbers reflect what we have done through the month of May.  You can see that dogs are adopted more often than cats.  We are in the midst of the puppy and kitten season.  Woefully, this time of year our adoptions decrease, as many families are planning vacations and summer fun.  This means that so many of these beautiful young animals will not find homes and will have to be euthanized.

The solution to this problem is in out hands.  Spay your female pets, adopt a pet from the Humane Society (these pets will already be altered), and support our Humane Society.  The Humane Society of Angelina County serves the animals that cannot speak for themselves and the Community in Humane Education, Pet Owner Responsibility, and the Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program.
